Privacy
This site is a brochure. It exists to tell you who Podzol is and how to reach us. It does not have accounts, forms that store anything, advertising, or third-party trackers.
Analytics
We count visits with a self-hosted instance of Umami running on our own infrastructure (analytics.minservers.com). It is cookieless: it does not set or read cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other sites. It records aggregate counts — pages viewed, referrer, country, and device class — under a salted identifier that rotates daily and cannot be reversed to you. Nothing leaves our servers, nothing is sold or shared, and the script honours your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Because there is no tracking that requires consent, there is no cookie banner. That is deliberate.
If you write to hello@podzol.ca, we keep your message in the mailbox it arrived in for as long as the conversation is useful, and we use it only to reply. We don't add you to lists. If you ask us to delete a thread, we will.
Server logs
Our web server keeps short-lived access logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for security and debugging. They are rotated automatically and are not used to profile visitors.
Our companies
Graphite & Moss (and its Minservers hosting arm), Boundary Condition, Signal & Soil and RustyMedic each publish their own privacy notice on their own site. This page covers podzol.ca only.
